Did you know that Zen and mindfulness have many similarities, and that many say that mindfulness actually came from Zen teachings? First you will learn about Zen history and the basics of Zen meditation, posture, and breathing. Then we will move on to a deep meditation experience during which I will guide you to a deep state of relaxation and mental clarity. We'll end the experience with a Q&A session, when you can ask me about anything in Zen and life. You will receive my personally drawn calligraphy in the end, as a token to celebrate our once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

I have more than 40 years experience in Zen.Besides being the head monk of the Kannon Zen temple, I also do personal calligraphy and driftwood art exhibitions, in addition to producing calligraphic arts and signboard engravings. Nowadays I also provide Zen mental consulting services to IT companies and professional athletes. The Zen tradition is deeply rooted in the Japanese culture and thinking, but not easily understood from the outside. By creating this experience in Central Tokyo, I hope to make Zen teachings easily accessible and practically applicable to your daily life even after the experience.
